Vivitar 70-210mm series 1 macro lens, mount question
I recently purchased this macro lens and it was advertised as having the m42 mount. Well it has the k-mount. My question is is the k-mount an add-on and can it be taken off? Many thanks! Tacky

Can a Vivitar Series 1 70-210mm 2.8 work on a Sony a6000
I Have recently purchased a Vivitar Series 1 70-210mm 2.8. I would like to mount it to the Sony a6000 but I am not sure if there is an adapter for it. Maybe it can be mounted on or not...I would like to know.Any assistance will be great.

I have an old non-AIS Vivitar Series 1 70-210 F3.5 lens, manufactured by Kiron. According to some reviews, it has good optics. It is pre-AIS, however.According to Ken Rockwell he states to avoid the pre-AIS version of this lens "...since newer ones cost no more used."
