STM Lenses on 7D2 vs 7D

I currently own an original 7d with 2 usm 'L' lenses and 2 STM lenses.. on my 7d my USM lenses work great, autofocus is consistent through the viewfinder and in live view. With the STM lenses the autofocus through the viewfinder can be hit and miss but much better in live view.. (the 2 STM lenses in question are 10-18mm and 50mm f1.8)

So, my question is - do STM lenses autofocus better/more consistant on the Canon 7D2 than they do on the original 7D? (Newer processor etc) or is this 'problem' just me..?

Really tempted by a 7D2 now and hoping AF performance on my STM lenses would be improved some what.
