Nikon S-9900 or L-840
Hello...I see that Nikon has replaced the S-9700 with the S-9900 and, the L-830, with the L-840.
From the reviews I've read, the lower priced L-830 received higher comments from people than the S-9700.
I am looking basically for a point and shoot camera that will provide me with the best image quality in the Automatic position. I just want to press the button, and, that's it.
I am interested in taking photos of my 5-year old grandson in our home and outside, and, interested in taking photos when we vacation each year on a cruise ship. Would like to take photos inside the ship, and of course, at the different port stops we make which would be outside shots.
So, with the two new models out, I'm wondering if the S-9900 would be the better choice, or, if the lower priced L-840 will be just fine, and, possibly score higher like the L-830 did. I'm not overly concerned that the L-840 has a higher zoom.
Thanks for your asisistance.
