Help needed with video rig
I have a Sony RX100 which I've modified quite heavily to gear it towards shooting footage.
I've acquired a PNC pistol grip for easier handling, a CarrySpeed VF-4 viewfinder to aid in focusing and also stabilization, a magFilter threaded adapter to allow a variable ND filter to be attached. This is all good, though since the camera is quite small, the manual focus ring on the lens it quite squashed against the plate meaning I can't turn the ring easily. It has to be tight or the viewfinder will rotate and not be useful.
Is there a way of raising the camera just half a centimetre of so, or does anybody have any ideas. All suggestions would be greatly appreciated. See image for the rig as it stands, and also look closely at the manual focus ring touching the black and red tripod plate underneath it for the problem.
Thanks in advance
My Sony RX100 video rig. Note the tripod plate underneath the camera does not allow the focus ring to turn.
