Fujifilm XF 23mm vs 18-55mm on X-E2
I recently got myself an Fujifilm X-E2 with a XF 18-55mm f/2.8-4.0.
Being a bit disappointed of the imagequality I purchased the XF 23mm f/1.4, mainly because I heard it was very sharp and obviously is faster glass.
Trying it out earlier today I made a series of shots on a nearby building - all with as identical settings and setup as possible. It's not a fantastic way of doing it since it was late evening, but I hope it shines a little light on how they perform against eachother in dim light (or whatever its called).
And yes, I know I forgot to take a shot at f/3.2 with the 23mm so please do forgive me for that one. I will get it uploaded asap tomorrow if the sky is right.
is the the little test I did - what do you think about the differences?
Again, I know its a hard one to judge because of the setup and all, I was just a fun test to do and share.
Here are two samples, cropped and at 100 perfecent.
