Sony - AF Area Sony A58

Beginner's Corner - www.amateurphotographer.co.uk
Hi,

In the section of AF Area I see various types.

Spot,Local,Wide etc etc.

When I look through the eye piece I see square like sensors which light up green etc.

I assume that when one lights up green the spot is then in focus ?

Please can you advise which I should be using ?

Please advise if it's one with several sensors how do I select the one to use as opposed to the camera selecting it.

Thanks.
