Using an old Voigtlander

Everything Film - www.amateurphotographer.co.uk
Im not sure if Im in the right place for this question, anyway here goes:

Im 17 and want to use my Voigtlander Brillant (German version) now that I have a bit more of an idea of photography. (it was given to me about 6 years ago)

Its just that Im not sure how to work out exposures and so on. Here is a list of controls that you may find useful:

Focus: 1m - 2m - 6m - Infinity

f: 22 / 11 / 7.7

Shutter Speed: 50 / 25 / B

Im planning to take some landscape pictures with it (of the Thames to be specific) , so obviously Im going to stick it on to 22 and infinity. But how do I deduce the Shutter speed without using any kind of light meter. Obviously this also depends on the film speed.

The camera I have learnt to take pictures on is a Canon FT that I got 5 years ago, could I use this to work out the exposure if I set it to the same settings as the Brillant?

Thank all!
