Sony - Sony and third party vertical grip?

Anyone using a 3rd party vertical grip with your Sony camera? I bought one through eBay from Adorama. It's a Flashpoint which is Adorama's store brand, it'll be used with my A77. I've read a few good reviews which sound promising. I would have bought the Sony grip but I just spent $285 (another eBay purchase) for a new HLV-43 flash and I don't see myself at this point using the grip that much. Then again I might like having the grip and someday I may opt for the Sony but until then I'll give it a try for $59.95. I should add that even though I bought it on eBay I bought it from Adorama so returning it within 30 days if it has any issues shouldn't be a problem otherwise I'd avoid buying a 3rd party grip.
