Tokina - Tokina 80-400mm Lens...Is it worth buying?

Photography & Camera Basics Forum - www.photography-forum.org
Morning all, I have seen a Tokina 80-400mm f/4.5-5.6 D AT-X Lens for sale at £170

I have just got a D7100. and want to start wildlife/sport snapping.

I understand this is not a top of the world lens but would it suit me as an starter ?

As it would be too late to find out once purchased

many thanks

Graham
