Light tent advice

Talk Lighting and Studio - Talk Photography - www.talkphotography.co.uk
Hi all;

I'm very new to shooting product photography/still life. I've been playing about recently regards shooting a watch and a camera lens on my dining room table using basic ceiling lights and reflective white cards here and there, Fuji X-pro 1 mounted on a tripod with the XF 60mm macro lens and a cable release etc...

Anyone shoot with a light-tent ? Are they a good idea for smaller product photography ? I appreciate you can buy them in different sizes.

I've also seen videos of the fstoppers FlashDisc smaller soft diffusers and they look really neat, any advice on this would also be beneficial.

Any advice most welcome.

Best wishes;

Peter
