Ricoh - simplify - thinking of getting rid of all other gear
I bought a Ricoh GR II for always, every day carry a while back. I love shooting with it and I love the files. So much so, that I'm thinking about selling off all my other cameras.
I have an original X100, a X100T which is, or was my main camera, and a Bronica RF645 (a medium format range finder with beautiful beautiful lenses, that I hardly ever use).
For professional use I don't need my other systems. If I need an SLR I can borrow or rent one.
For reference and private work I used to prefer the 35mm equivalent fov but, again, I just find myself not using it.
Perhaps the only reason I can imagine is when shooting large flat art or print work, to have on record, the 35mm might be a bit better. Though the Ricoh is so well corrected and sharp in the corners not sure if the X100T is that much better. I used to do this with a 60 mm micro Nikkor.
So why not hold on to the other cameras and use them when the time comes up?
I am not attached to possessions as much as I used to, and especially with digital cameras I feel I might as well sell, and buy again if the want or need is there for example 4, 5 years from now.
Not sure about the RF645, but it can't be serviced easily anymore, and again, I don't find myself using it.
I guess I'm curious if anyone has sold off all or most of their other gear and how it worked out in your case?
